Bassoon recitals, eh? Well I guess a guy who lives in a glass house shouldn't throw stones...
While there are some very simple new ways to post video, surprisingly (or not), there are fewer convienient ways to post audio. My guess would be because most people posting audio would be posting stuff they stole (as opposed to you and me who are posting stuff we performed).
So, you can can search around for a place to host and stream audio (like castpost.com, where I am hosting my "theme song," or I think orieyenta has a place where she puts her daughter's songs), or you can pay for a server somewhere like I do but it may not be worthwhile for just a few tunes.
Or you could get creative...get a movie making program like windows movie maker (free from microsoft.com) and make a movie with either no video or just a still picture and use your songs as soundtrack. Then you can have them stream for free!

Well, I needed to upload the file with that crazy lakewood lady, so I did some research and this is what I found:
Go to Fileden.com, upload the file and then just follow the instructions. Or check it out at the source:

Thats where I learned to do it.
Good luck
p.s. Do you also play the sax?
