I don't want to be asked how my Yom Tov was. It was long and traumatizing. When I say I'm very happy it's over, I don't want to see the looks of horror and watch people tiptoe away silently (OK, I'm being a bit of a drama queen here). I can handle the spiritual work and can immerse myself in it completely - it's the physical work that makes me cry.
Did anyone read the Dear Abby-type letter in the current Jewish Press from a man whining that his wife needs to remember that "men have needs too" after a day of cleaning and preparing for Pesach etc.?? That maybe if they just "gave the man some attention" at the end of the day, they wouldn't be tempted to commit the aveira of buying porn etc.?? (I am paraphrasing very loosely here!)
Try taking the money you spend on that filth and using it to hire a CLEANING LADY so your wife might be SLIGHTLY LESS THAN DEAD at the end of her fifth day in a row of cleaning up a year of your chometz!!!!
Don't get me STARTED.

No, no, get started, it was just getting good.
Hi Chana, I just stumbled across your blog, and I think you are hilarious. Despite being a Goya I lived on a kibbutz for 7 years, and so totally get where you are coming from. I too have a great love of Israel...she feels like home to me (I live in England now) and I will defend her to the death...I love that you are so open and outspoken showing all that Jewish girl/woman angst. As far as the "chometz" comment goes...truer words and such. Good for you!
Ok I won't ask I wouldn't want to traumitize you...
You think you worked hard?!
Imagine what's gonna be like when we have to rush it all to include the Korban Pesach the morning before the Seder!!!
